Waldringfield School has an association called the ‘WSA’. This association is in principal an equivalent to a PTA. However, at Waldringfield we feel that the association should not be limited to just parents and teachers. We welcome all members of Waldringfield village, all members of staff, all parents, grandparents, and carers of any child at the school to be involved.
The Role of the WSA
The WSA is a registered charity. Our aim is to raise funds for the school which, can be then be used to assist the school in providing a holistic and supporting environment for your child. We aim to have fun along the way too and hope, that through our fundraising efforts we also strengthen a sense of community within the school.
We have donated money towards school trips including the whole school trip to the pantomime at the Wolsey Theatre. We also donated money towards the outdoor classroom along with money for resources in school.
As you can see we aim to cover fun and education with the money we raise.
Your Role
The WSA on occasion may ask for donations such as cakes, tombola prizes etc. for our ever popular fetes at Christmas and summer. We also ask that you let us know of any fundraising events you would like us to do.
If you feel that you would like to join the WSA we are always looking for members of the committee. We meet approximately twice a term (when nearing an event sometimes more!) We are a relaxed bunch of people who have many big and exciting ideas for the coming year. If you would like to be involved just speak to one of us, or ask Mrs Dawson to get us to contact you.
