School Uniform

Information regarding our school uniform policy.

School sweatshirts, cardigans and white or burgundy polo shirts printed with our school logo will be available from our new supplier shortly. Other logoed items, for example, school coats, PE t-shirts, PE bags, book bags and baseball caps, will also be available.

There is no requirement for children to wear school uniform which displays the school logo.  Our uniform consists of the following:

Burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan and grey skirt/pinafore/trousers, or red checked summer dresses for girls

Burgundy sweatshirt, white/burgundy polo shirt and grey trousers/shorts for boys.

PE Clothing

Children should have a white t-shirt (with or without school logo), shorts and plimsolls or trainers to use for PE.  Track suits should also be provided during the winter.

Children should come to school on PE days wearing their PE kite. No watches or jewellery can be worn during any PE activities. For safety, hair must be neatly and securely tied back.

Outside Clothing

We use our school grounds for learning as well as play, throughout the school year. Therefore please provide your child with a pair of outdoor shoes (old trainers/wellies). These are kept in school at all times. The youngest children find wellies the easiest for changing. Outdoor trousers are also advisable during the winter.

Our Jewellery Policy

Children are not allowed to wear any jewellery in school for safety reasons. One pair of stud/sleeper earrings only are permitted, and these should be removed for PE lessons, swimming and sports activities both at lunchtime and after-school as serious injury can occur if a child falls on their ear. To avoid confusion, sleeper earrings have a smooth front with unusually short posts and screw on backs.

If a child is unable to remove their earrings for sports activities please ensure that they do not wear them to school on days when they are participating in sports otherwise they will be excluded from these activities.

In exceptional circumstances, for example if a child’s ears have just been pierced, a parent may request that their child is allowed to put tape over the earring providing some protection, however this is not as safe as removing them completely.  If the school is to use tape in such special circumstances, written consent from the parent is required in advance.
